About Us

About Beatty Counselling

We help adult Canadians recover from relationship breakdowns and different forms of anxiety and depression with a heartfelt, attachment-based scientific approach.

We support clients to understand, manage and master their emotional processes at higher and higher levels of intensity. Our clients become experts at navigating vulnerability with ease and confidence.

Our core purpose is to dramatically improve your relationships with yourself and important others. A life with meaningful connection and joy is our goal for you!

Our practice is almost exclusively online counselling. This method increases accessibility, is more time efficient, and is cost-effective for clients.

Who We Help

We help adults and couples across Canada recover, heal, grow.

We want so much more for you than quick fixes that only scratch the surface. We go deeper so you can experience lasting and life-changing results.

If you’re willing to engage, be vulnerable, go deep and to take on the heavy lifting, we are the right fit for you.  Just ask yourself if you’re ready to commit to long-term recovery and working towards the life you want. And know, that we will be there every step of the way to support you.

Our Approach

We follow an attachment therapy approach, but we draw upon a wide range of therapeutic models in our work together.

Our approach is:

  • experiential as we evoke and explore emotional and behavioural patterns
  • holistic in that we take your whole world, life and relationships into consideration
  • compassionate as we focus on our shared humanity and the struggles of being human
  • joyful as it focuses on growth and possibility
  • about creating shifts by learning to process emotions in new expansive ways

A strong, safe, and trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of our work together.

Why Online Counselling

Online Counselling is more accessible, flexible, time-efficient, cost-effective, comfortable and safer for patients, particularly in the cold Canadian winter months.

Counselling can stretch your comfort zone. Facing new and unfamiliar therapeutic territory from the comfort and familiarity of your own home makes it less scary and stressful.

So make yourself a cup of tea, settle into your cosiest chair and let’s begin!

People find it easier to schedule sessions if they are out of town or working in a remote location; they do not need to miss a session.

It also allows us to serve clients from anywhere in Canada with an internet connection capable of supporting video conference applications. No matter where your busy life takes you, we can be there with you for every step of the journey!
